WooHoo!! 700 posts!! Well done Missus Dunnit!! Through thick and thin you've been there for us, thank you so much . . . . .
The desk . . .
This old hat has been used every winter or windy day for 10+ years. It's just a beanie with some added Christine invented decoration. The plaiting adds height on top and more warmth to my ears . . . . .
I haven't managed to finish my new hat as yet, like Peter always used to say . . . I unpick more than I knit!!
The hat is just a beanie pattern so no problem there, it's the wonderful invented decoration that is causing the slowdown to the finish.
These are my third lengths ready to plait. The first were too short so I had to undo and knit a few more rows . . . . The second ones were too thin. I counted the stitches on the old hat and proceeded at a a pace . . . the plaits added NOTHING to the hat.
These are my third attempt, more stitches, bigger pins and, to be honest, I am quite hopeful that I will be wearing it when I go out again . . . . .
I haven't been creating, I have been again trying to sort 'things' . . . . new underbed storage bins so baby clothes all sorted plus wool of course. These bins will be stored in the garage as the space is needed for the Christmas Tree Village. I like to start early and add something more everyday, I like the changes and the children like to see what they can find new . . . .
This started way back when my children were small, chocolate decorations were added last as the house rule was that once they had been eaten . . . . the tree came down!!! Sneaky eats meant that we often had one dec hanging around until after Christmas . . . . you can guess who ate that so she could get the tree down and the house back to some normality!! lol
I DO remember one year that the tree came down on Boxing Day!!!!!
Anyhoos, I am scheduling this as I have a lot to do on my laptop . . . end of the month and all that . . .
