I hope that 2023 will be healthier and happier and maybe a bit more peaceful . . . . one can dream . . .
And just what is on the desk?
Nothing except a clear space which I am sure you will find boring.
I have been creating, see previous posts, but at the moment I am taking down the decs. My dearest SILR came and brought all the empty boxes downstairs for me.
He came to set up my new fridge, courtesy of DDC who sourced it out and arranged delivery for me.
It is just what I wanted, smaller than my old one but I never filled that one since Peter died, I only really put milk in there and the occasional yoghurt, all my food is fresh . . . . even though it is cooked and frozen I consider it fresh!
SILR worked so hard, he even cleared all the rubbish left outside by the builder. My patio hasn't looked so large for months!!
So I am taking down the decs and hopefully he will come back and take the full bags back upstairs . . . .
. . . and the screen .. . . . just saying . . .

Wow, that poem about Ukraine is powerful, thank you for sharing. Good old Son in Law helping you with all the jobs, sounds like a good way to start the year. Wishing you a. Very Happy New Year Christine,

Happy New Year to you Christine! How nice that you have a helping hand in your son-in-law... I don't envy you, having all those boxes to fill (but I didn't decorate my house much, just a small 'light chain' and some branches with little lights.. they were put away in no time...) Big hug from Holland, Marit #11
ReplyDeleteYes the taking down and moving it is nothing fun anymore. I too will be working on that later this week. Won't be any travel here ....ice and salt is not melting it. Enjoy some crafting and Wishing you and yours the Best for 2023
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, we really needx to get our decs packed away too. You are very lucky to have family to help you. Thank you for showing us the Poem, it's very thoughtful. Have a lovely New Year woyww and don't work too hard. Hugs Angela x10x
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, love the poem. So good to have people to help with the decs. I go over to my pal's regularly to 'help' - she is in her seventies but goes up the ladder to the loft while I stand at the bottom and pass/catch as approriate s I can't do heights. It terrifies me to watch her but at least she isn't on her own. Though what use I'd be in an emergency - she's already dropped things on my head twice!! Hope the desk is full of craft y goodness next week!! Happy New Year, have a good week, love n hugs Cindy xx #11

ReplyDeleteI'm all filled up - on account of that poem. That is lovely, where did you find it, or was it from you? Either way may I borrow it please?
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had a nice time over the festive period. We've been taking the tree down and he is left with the task of the lights being unwound and wound (if you follow) whilst I have been the main packer up.
You got a new fridge and I got a washer - white goods abound. Mine came before Christmas so missed all the sales but we were running out of clothes
Take care, best wishes, Hugs, Neet 3 xx
The poem is quite moving. Enjoy the new fridge - why does it always happen round the holidays? We need a new toaster as of this morning. Bah!
ReplyDeleteHAPPY NEW YEAR and (late) HAPPY WOYWW! May it be a great one for us all.
