WOYWW #710

WOYWW - All the deets on how to link up etc. and, more importantly, why you should, can be found at the top of the page.  Thank you Julia for reminding what day of the week it is!

The desk . . .

Not a lot going on at the moment as I have some online work to do . . . . month end and all that . .

To the left a pile of New Year cards, I really must settle down to sending them out  . . . it'll be Christmas again before I know where I am!!  lol
I am trying out this stamping design on the blue card,  I have stamped several of these out and I am hoping to be able to change the designs slightly.

In the centre of the desk is a half made card.  The theme is Recycle so I am using some wrapping paper from Christmas presents but puzzling how to decorate it . . . . .

and the screen . . . .

FYI  . . . I am the right height to get poked in the eye when umbrellas are used!!!

  1. That made me laugh out loud! My men say that when I go shopping it’s like a ram raid, in, get what I want and out again, no messing. They have likened my shopping trolley technique to Boudicca’s chariot *grin* Love your cards and well doen for doing that recycling challenge, it’s a fab start!

  2. I've never been one to use a brolly ....being 5 foot nothing I am always poking folk in the eyes lol. The fabric for the bunting is mostly pretty patterned Laura Ashley and really doesn't lend itself to putting names on sorry.

  3. ROTFLOL!! That card did make me laugh. I cannot imagine sending out New Year's card right after sending Xmas ones - all mine say both - so lazy. Well done you, and enjoy the process!
    HAPPY WOYWW!

  6. Love the screen, they would get me in the navel.
Wow, you make NY cards! What a fabulous achievement, well, that is if you get them out soon Christine. At least the thought was there and they will always do for next year.
Thanks for the prayers for the extended family, it is a worry but I just hope and pray.

  7. Thanks for the visit. Is your mail strike over in the UK area? So glad to be retired, usually it was hell on earth for me as an accountant/auditor to meet deadlines for Payroll, Business Year Ends, Tax reports for State and Federal governments...W-2's W-4's Do not miss any of it. Of course working at home wasn't an option.
And I totally understand about umbrella and eye poking !!! I got out of our car Sunday and ran into a huge mirror on a truck.... Enjoy a great week...

  11. great screensaver! I hate umbrellas, but sometimes needs must. I don't send new year cards, have enough problems getting Christmas ones out!! have a great week - and the journal page is done with distress oxide inks. Helen #4

  12. That is very good advice on your screen Christine. Regret this week I’d have to have a row of people waiting to be poked!! Using the wrapping paper is a great idea, isn’t it a fab colour combo. I quite like the gold greeting…if you’re pushed for time, that would be enough, or add a bunch of flourishes. Flourishes are my stock standby!!

  13. Love the screensaver, and your recycled card. I only ever do NY cards if I forgot a Christmas card!! Loving my patchwork cards but have to stop for now - think that die will definitely earn it's keep! Happy WOYWW, love n hugs Cindy xx #8

  14. I laughed out loud at that last picture. I don’t normally do New Year cards, but the Post Office are saying you have to use up your old type stamps by 31 January so I thought I would send some. Hugs Angela #18
