WOYWW #742

WOYWW - All the deets on how to link up etc. and, more importantly, why you should, can be found at the top of the page.  Thank you Julia for hosting another week of fun and mayhem.!

The Desk

This desk is just as it was left on Monday evening . . . . .

I have been creating cards for my final swaps with my All About Oriental Stamping Group . . . .the card is underneath the two stamps blocks waiting for the glue to dry . . . . I have another card ready to finish to the right which just needs folding into place.

I have not posted  any of my creations for absolutely ages.  I have not posted any of the work that is being done by my SIL either . . .  I hope to rectify this soon so watch out for lots of interesting/uninteresting posts . . .  all out of order of course!!!

I do not enjoy the warm weather, it affects my breathing and I have to focus on getting through the heat rather than sitting at my PC . . . . . so I am sorry that I did not get round to visit everyone last week.  With cooler temps (15C this am) I am hoping to catch up . . .

  1. It seems like we may have seen the last of the super hot weather this summer - although for me it has been more cold, wet and dreary! Hoping to see more of your work wit the cooler temps, cause you always inspire!

    Have a happy WOYWW!

  4. Looking forward to seeing some of your makes. It's cold up north and I could do with a bit of sunshine today but I would willingly send you some cooler weather to help with your breathing if I could.
Just take things easy and don't overdo it.
    Hugs, Neet 6 xx

  5. The heat really can get to you - I don’t do well either, think we must have Viking blood from somewhere, lol! I look forward to seeing what you’ve made, the Oriental theme sounds interesting!

  6. I am not a lover of the heat either it gives me headache if I'm not careful. We have a fan on at the moment while I do my visits. Look forward to seeing your creations soon. I think I've got this pop up card sorted it's the mechanism that's been giving me grief. Once you've got it right and made a card with it you wonder why all that bad language happened Lol! Wishing you a happy and creative woyww, Angela x14x

  7. Exactly what I use my stamp blocks for, flattening stuff after gluing, jolly useful aren't they. Yep the heat is doing me in too. I don't sleep that well at the best of times but in this heat it's horrid. Certainly saving on nightie laundry though - LOL. My Lichens is a bit irritated too and I'd done with all the potion application over the past 3 months with my follow-up appointment being put back a month so it will be 4 months of daily morning noon night stuff by then, it's doing my head in and not really sorting the issue I went about! Oh man! Defo think bright hair is the way forward. Hugs BJ#12

Thankfully the heat seems to have passed us by. I sit outside more when it’s just pleasant, rather than hot. Happy WOYWW. Angela #2

  11. It was 40 + C today where I live, so I can understand how you are melting in the heat. Thankfully I have AC. The giraffes are cute. I also like washi tape, but forget to use it most of the time. Happy WOYWW from # 7. Try to stay cool, dear.

  14. Hi there Christine, hope the temps are a bit better for you this week, though I have to say I like the warmth, helps my joints and weirdly, my cough. Every one is different I guess. I use the acrylic blocks to flatten things while drying as well - I saw Jennifer McGuire using her phone in a video once and it occurred to me that my (rather redundant) stamping blocks would be a better idea. Sorry I'm so late, my week always seems to fall into chaos Thurs/Friday. Have a good week, love n hugs Cindyxx #16

  16. I seem to find it difficult to get around everyone these days - but it's more that I go off to aquarobics and then before I know it it's the weekend! Hope the temp is getting more bearable...
