WOYWW #741

 Good morning!

Short and sweet today as the boys are coming over and I have the 'H' stuff to do . . . . . otherwise known as sorting out boy things to occupy them . . . . trains come to mind!!!

So short and sweet . . . .

The rubber mallet worked although I am not completely happy with the result, I think I will definitely have to go buy me a new hammer!
The yellow are Nasturtium flowers with leaves while the purple ones are pink Dianthus with some Cotinus leaves.  I will see how I finish these before I know whether to scrap or post!
I will not be around today so I will try to visit later . . . .

The screen just makes me laugh . . . . .
I have been asked where I acquire my screen prints . . . . Pinterest!!

  1. I have used a rubber mallet to pound flowers, but I also have one that is a bit heavier with a rubber overlay. It works great. I really like your flowers. Some are smushier than others. I have found in spring that irises are fabulous. They practically smush when you look at them (grin).

What a charming screen print this week. Enjoy your time with the boys. Happy WOYWW from # 6.

  4. Well, you are better at flower pounding than I am. They look fine to me and I don't think you should dismiss them.
Have a wonderful day with the boys, trains sound a good way to spend some time this afternoon.

  5. I just have this image of a mad pink haired lady hammering flowers into submission, lolol! And then deciding you need a bigger hammer…fantastic. The results of the bashed flowers look pretty good to me, lovely colours. Hope you have a fab time with the boys playing trains…ahh, that takes me back….

  9. Oh and I thought you'd been painting and couldn't work out where the rubber mallet came in until I read Elizabeth's comment LOL. They looks lovely, think I'll have to give it a go too. I guess paper on top and bash away.... Hugs BJ#5

  11. Dealing with aging-parent health issues yesterday so a bit late. I can't believe how like actual flowers some of the pounded one look! I had no idea. Looking forward to seeing them at the end of your process. Bet they will be stunning!

    Happy late WOYWW!
