Some of you may recall the following photo on my WOYWW posting last week.
The printouts are for Envelope Cards and were designed by a clever girl who was a member of a Group to which I belonged years ago..... I have kept several of the designs in my files.
During my 'tidy up' of my room I found some of these files, and thought that I might be able to reduce them down to ATC size. After several tries I have managed to produce three successful prints.
I fussy cut out all the pieces, made up the decoupage images and attached the base image to the card. I then attached the 'envelope flap' the the back of the card, folding it over so that it met the images.
The decoupaged images were attached just over the tip of the flap so that the envelope appeared to be closed. As the flap opened and closed, I decided that interest was needed just underneath it. Too late to add a 'letter' so I used some rub ons to finish for two of the cards and a tiny label with a silver butterfly on the third.
You can't see it on the photo, but as the blue card was the first to be made the 'flap' is creased where I tried to position it so it closed under the decoupage. I coloured up some silver peel offs and placed this over the crease and, thinking it looked good, I also added some to the other two envelopes. I am very pleased with this result and may make some more later on.
Received the following cards from my partner:
Aren't they super? Love them.
Thank you Vicki.
