Good morning!
Hope you are still fighting the good fight ...... I am with 'things up high' ..... well, a small piece of plastic that stops other folks water running along your guttering ..... know what I mean? lol
Anyhows, I decided to invest in some of the Oxide inks..... managed to persuade PJ that we would be shopping not far from the dreaded Hobbycraft .... so off we went.
I couldn't find any of the oxide inks...... half a dozen Distress Inks was all they had!
moan, moan .... never have anything I come for ..... moan, moan ...
I bought a couple of glue tapes and a die ... off to the cash desk.
On the way ..... I passed the Magazine rack and had a quick look ........
I popped a magazine into the basket and then spotted an A4 Package ...... into the basket ..... couldn't leave the shop empty handed ......
Here are the purchases .......
All this was neatly parcelled up inside the box. Beautiful Cross die, A5 sheet of small stamps, C6 embossing frame, lasercut silhouettes and several insert papers, cards, diecut toppers and I am so very happy with it. I am now pleased, in a way, that the Oxides were not there cos if they had been ..... I would not have stopped at the Magazine Rack!!!
Now to find the time to play ......
Now for the top two reasons why God created Eve.
2 As the Bible says, "It is not good for man to be alone!"
and the top reason is ....
When God finished the creation of Adam, He stepped back, scratched His head and said,
"I can do better than that"
ROFL
The distress oxides have been really difficult to get hold of as they are so popular. I think they are having trouble keeping up with orders at Ranger. Mine are finally on their way yahoo! Great find though at the magazine rack. Sarah #13
ReplyDeleteI've been looking out for the Distress Oxides too without much luck so far. No doubt we just have to be patient. These magazines that have the card packs inside are a great buy aren't they.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week

Well done you with all your new buys....it's funny how these things jump out to us when shopping isn't it? I had a chuckle at your funnies too.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a fun week.

Hobby Craft have central purchasing so I think it will be a while before they filter in,and even some f my go to 'specialist' shps haven't got them because they get snatched up! Hey ho - you more than made up for it - that A4 pack was loaded with stuff, what a great find. keep up the plastic fight!1
ReplyDeleteHi Christine - keep at it gal - you'll win with the gutter water!! Lots of goodies there that fell in your shopping basket - even if they didn't have what you originally went in for.
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Everything happens for a reason, huh?! What a fab amount of new goodies inside the magazine, they may not have been what you went in for but I bet you'll have a fab time playing with those (and guttering, lol!)

Love "The Lord" quotes - brilliant! Wow, what a surprise package you got - worth every penny (and trip).

Hi Christine, never heard of oxide inks till now - something else for me to spend my pocket money on! Visited the Range recently, for sticky pads and glue tape runners, and came out with a magazine too. I like that cat stamp - very nice. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #26
ReplyDeleteThat's a great pile of goodies you have there, I bet you have lots of fun playing with them. I have been convincing myself I don't need the Oxide inks but every so often I see some fabulous art work and feel I need them - so far I've resisted and I'm hoping I'll keep resisting as I don't know where I'd store them if I did get any!! Your stash looks like it's much more fun!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and thanks for the visit to mine,
Diana #14
Yes, His upgrade was MUCH better! You really hit the jackpot with that A4 package! I'm not sure the oxides are in the stores yet, are they? I think you can order them online though. Thanks for sharing, Lindart #35
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, Have fun with your new stash.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog.

I am still waiting for Oyster Stamps to send me mine - and I only ordered 4! Great buys, of course you couldn't leave empty handed.. Helen #1
ReplyDeleteLol Lol Christine at your Bible "quote" - what translation is that from I wonder hahaha!!! Must tell my hubby that one! You can't go to any sort of craft shop and come out empty handed! You will have fun with the things you got, I am sure. I am getting some Distress Oxides soon, too. Can't wait to try them. Thank you for your great comment - I grew up in houses with walk-in pantries but haven't had one since I've left the parental home. My hubby says he can get a recycled stone slab cut to size for me. That will really put my pantry in the top bracket! Still, we've got the dreaded dry rot to sort out first - he's hoping to start a week tomorrow and then we've got to get the kitchen fitter in. So glad you like my samples. I've discovered some new technques this p.m. so I'm going up to play after I've tidied the kitchen.

Oh the cross die is to "die" for, oh couldn't pass by the double pun for Easter! LOL. Know what you mean about Hobbycraft, can be such a disappointment. Glad you are enjoying some plants too, I get top see all mine in the garden whilst I'm at the kitchen sink, has to be a plus there. Thanks for the visit. BJ#20
ReplyDeleteOh Christine, you must get the Oxides they are a delight! Sandy has the full kit in at the Craft Barn: http://www.thecraftbarn.co.uk/colour-texture/inks-and-inkpads/distress-oxides.html
ReplyDeleteI know the singles have gone quickly but she still has a few left.
I'm afraid I am generally disappointed when I go in Hobbycraft though it is good for paper and card. Have a great woyww and lovely week too, Angela x11x
Wow the range of great products in the A4 pack made up for the lack of Oxides. I think I will wait for peoples comments before I rush to buy them. Have a great crafty week.
