9 Days to go ......... just saying....
Well, it's a bit hectic round here today.
We have to have a new car .... a passing driver happened to hit our present car but not hard enough for him to stop! We cannot get the replacement pieces the car needs and, as we were hoping to replace it next year, PJ is out to look at a new one ....... just a bit sooner (by six months) than we expected.
The very kind neighbour next door just gifted me with a fine bag of mixed stamps - Kiloware to any Philatelists on board! - so I have those to sort into Interesting and Pass-Them-On piles.
Then there's my desk .....
.... this month's magazine has arrived and it needs to be read and filed .... maybe a card or two made ..... the free gift (as well as all the stamps) is asking to be used......
One of my swaps needs to be photographed and the sender thanked ......
BTW someone queried the small paper pad on my desk - still there - it's from Little Claire, I just love their products, small enough for my ATCs and Coins.
AND.......
IT'S WEDNESDAY!
Little Soldier's day with the Grandees!!
So there you have it!!
Another retirement day!
I cannot believe that I spent my latter working years just waiting to retire and sit around doing things I wanted to do when I wanted to do them ...... why oh why did no-one tell me I would be busier than ever ....... without having to watch the clock of course!!!! lol
When I get chance I will be round to visit but, in advance, thank you to my visitors and for the lovely comments you leave ....... I don't get notification of these so I am backtracking WOYWW as I am sure there was a comment left about this happening.......
Have fun with Little Soldier Christine. Sorry to hear about the car; hope you manage to sort a new one soon. Can't wait to see everyone at the crop. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #18
ReplyDeleteMorning Christine. Oh my - just when you didn't want it to happen!! Hope hubby finds a new car for you. Are you still able to get to LA (sounds good, hey?) for a week on Saturday - hope so, as it will be good to see you both!!
ReplyDeleteBusy desk area - lots of scrummy stamps - are you a philatelist?? I still have all my stamps and albums.
Have fun with little soldier - and NO - no-one tells you that you are going to be busier than ever after retirement!!! Do you think I should warn my brother? Or not bother? He retires this week....
Take care, girl. God bless.

Hi Christine, how awful that the driver didn't stop! That stamp sorting should keep you occupied for a while. I noticed your comment about reading small text- did you know that if you hold down CTRL on your keyboard, and scroll foward with the mouse wheel, you can enlarge the page you are looking at?
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing you again next week, Have a lovely week,Hugs, Shaz #6 XxX
What a beep beep about the car. Hope you get sorted and nothing stops you coming to the crop.
ReplyDeleteGreat to have all those postage stamps, I took over Chas's album and peeled them off as I did something for a country, made nice interesting pages and cards.
Enjoy your Little Soldier Day.
Hugs, Neet 4 xx
Goodness me, that's lots of stamps hehe. Have a great week! That magazine looks like a good read, which one is it?

What a pain about the car...it makes me mad when people don't stop! Hope you find a good one that can whizz you up to Llandudno in good time! And I've never been busier than since I've retired...it's marvellous!!
ReplyDeleteReally looking forward to seeing you soon,
Hugs LLJ 10 xxx
We're all the same Christine, I really thought I would have loads of time when I retired how wrong was I! Love to know what you plan for the stamps? Happy woyww, Angela x9x
ReplyDeleteRetirement...what a dream. I often hear that people are busier in retirement than when they were working. How do we find the time??? But as you said, at least there's no clock watching. Have a great week. Dorlene #31

ReplyDeleteHi Christine, sorry to here about the incident with the car, awful that they did not stop. We had a similar thing happen 3 years ago but my hubby chased them. A very stressful and frightening experience. Good Luck car hunting and have fun sorting those stamps.
