WOYWW #640

WOYWW?  What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday of course!  The day I go travelling round as many desks as I can to see what other folks have been up to and, of course, my Thanks go to Julia at Stamping Ground for enabling so many desks and lifestyles to be shared each week.  Thank you.

Good morning, Good morning!!!  The sky is blue, the sun is shining and the pigeons are bathing in the puddle on my flat roof just outside my window . . . .

It is currently 15C but is forecast to be another scorcher in the late 20Cs, I am not complaining as it is also forecast to rain tomorrow!!

The desk:

Not much going on do I hear you say?

Oh! yes there is!  I am joining in with some swaps at ATCs For All and the makings of number one is there . . . . The tartan bits of paper . . . .

The swap is called 'make me happy', or MMH.  You ask for a coin with the words - Who's going to make me happy? and then add a suggestion of three themes.  The reply reads - I'll make you happy with (one of the themes) but who's going to make me happy?

And so it goes on, it's been running since 2011 and members can hop in as and when they like . . . . I've joined in as I have just found some tartan paper!  The reply is going to make me happy with a tree coin . . . .

Now admit it . . . . you didn't know such exciting things went on in life!

DDC came round earlier on in the week with FX and R, removed my broken fridge (the Council will charge me £33 to take it away - is that good?) and cleared my patio.  The patio looks soooo good, I have cleared a few more weeds and it will soon be useable again . . . . Tell you all the exciting things are happening round here!

Have yourselves a good week, maybe something exciting will happen . . . .

  3. Actually it’s the little things in life that make it better, so I appreciate that getting rid of the stuff will make you happy! I loved the ATC coin that you sent to Mary Anne, it made me smile!

  4. Have fun with your ATC/coil swap, Christine. The amount the council is charging to take away the fridge doesn't sound too bad to me. I am sure you are pleased to get your patio usable again. We love ours.

Thank you for your visit - so glad you enjoyed the DVD project and that my hubby's remarks gave you a good giggle! Thank you for your good wishes for my appointments over the coming week.

    Happy WOYWW and God bless,

  6. It seems like a lot of money, but I think it is the normal rate. At least you know it is being disposed of correctly. Happy WOYWW Angela #11

  8. Well, John Lewis charged me £20 to take the old one away when they brought my new one, so I'd say for council prices, probably about "right" They have you over a barrel though, don't they! The atc swap sounds fun. I do sometimes stamp through stencils too, yes. Take care Helen #1

  9. Hi Christine, trying to get round before bed but it's getting rather late. I got in the cabin and lost all sense of time, well that's my excuse! That sounds about right for the council to take your fridge away. Wishing you a happy woyww evening, Angela x19x

  10. That ATC swap sounds like fun, although I'm completely confussed about what you have to do! I think that's about the right price. I can't remember what they were going to charge us for taking our old caravan away...in the end we sold it on Ebay for £80! Keep on Crafting! Happy WOYWW ((Lyn)) #24

  11. Think I lost the plot with the MMH scenario - LOL. No matter sounds great anyways.
Still hot here, did stand out in the rain earlier and there was thunder and lightening too.
Dentist's was well air conditioned which was a relief and teeth fine and hubby's eye OK too. So not a bad day all round. Just need it to be cooler now..... Happy WOYWW BJ #16

  14. Thanks for your visit yesterday. I’m sorry to say I was head down sewing all day so I didn’t manage one visit so I’m getting round my favourites before I get back in my sewing room this morning.
It’s the little things in life that matter and I aim to make someone smile every day(I never fail). Have a fab week.

  15. I have FINALLY gotten some trader ratings over on ATC4A so maybe one day I'll be the one to "Make you happy" - or vice versa!
    :)

    Happy WOYWW!

  16. Yes, Councils do charge for removing things like that - and then they get fly tipping from some! If they just had a week where people could call on them for one thing I am sure it would help.
Glad you are keeping busy with the atc's - would love to see some of them.
Take care, Hugs, Neet 17 xx

  18. Tartan paper... oh my, I love that! (I'm a former Bay City Roller fan you know...) I may have some snippets laying in a box somewhere, you tempt me to go look for those! Have a lovely weekend sweetie, hug from Holland. Marit #2

  19. No ones life is all glamour though kids it, and at this point, clearing a patio after having it unclear for a while is a bit of a win isn’t it, and so much easier to contemplate keeping clear! The ATC swap has done well hasnt it, 10 years! I like the glimpse of tartan paper too, lovely colour.

  21. Hi Christine, sorry I'm so late visiting! The MMH challenge sounds fun! Well, the heatwave is definitely over (thank goodness) but apparently there's another on the way. But this late in the season it can't get too bad. I remember 26C on my hub's birthday in early October a few years ago though! Enjoy the new week! xx zsuzsa

  22. Yes, I think Councils do charge for removing things like that, and it's not always immediate, they only seem to do it on certain days. Still at least it is removed :)

Take care, enjoy these September days.

    All the best Jan
