I have been sorting out my stamps ready to create my October Swaps. I have no idea when I will get them done as I am having a pretty busy time since this photo was taken . . . . . just the desk remains the same! lol
I like to sort through my stamp file, choose my stamps then collect them out of the storage boxes. Each page in my folder has a copy of the stamp with maker and box number, makes choosing my stamps so much easier for me. Quite a relaxing way of sorting stamps. I have bought Tattered Lace Magazine this month because I have several swaps on an Autumn Theme and, as you can probably see, there is a free die, embossing folder and papers which are all on an Autumn Theme . . . . .
Last weekend the chickens went to their new home, it is now so quiet round here, I can go in and out of my house without being begged for food! lol
DDN and Dx came to help box them up and then add them and all the other chicken extras into the car.
Don't let the facial expression fool you . . . . once we arrived and discovered a large play area . . .
it was smiles all the way!
We took them over to Lapworth to an animal rescue place which I have been supporting for a couple of years now with donations.
Peter used to take DDC round there when she was young, they had a tiger called Nina and monkeys then but now it looks as though they only rescue animals.
The chooks soon made friends and were 'shown' around, the large white cockerel is known as the Boss round here.
Hope that Snowflake won't be offended!
One of the buildings contained bric a brac, donations I suppose, so I had a quick look round . . . . one never knows what one with find in these places!
. . . . . . Guess I'm making Christmas Tree cakes soon!!!
The smaller cake tins create 3D cakes so the boys will have a great time decorating those!!
I will post about the rest of the changes round here in separate posts, today is really all about the desk!!.
A Stamp File is a great idea and I thought about making one and unfortunately that's as far as it went. I didn't know you were letting the chicks go but it looks like a nice place where they've gone and at least you can visit them. Have a lovely creative woyww. Hugs, Angela x14x
ReplyDeleteI’m so pleased you’re better, I was worried last week. Great bit of sorting there and I’m sure your chickens will be rehomed soon, the sanctuary sounds brilliant. Those tree tins were a real find, I look forward to seeing the future cakes!

Pleased to hear you are feeling better! Glad the chicks are sorted and it looks a good place for them. I have my stamps listed but no images to go with them and definitely no note of where they are stored (although most of them are on the floor next to me!!) Have a good week Helen #2
ReplyDeleteOH! How organised you are Christine, I have them in a box by the side of me that I go through to choose, but I guess you have a larger collection?
ReplyDeleteGosh you are making big strides on clearing with your chooks gone to a new home and a garden clearer. Well done you. When you're finished, want to come here and do the same, although no chooks here!
Keep safe
Faith x
Great you are feeling better and you will probably miss your birds, but one less thing to worry about. I t look like they have gone to a good home, take care Angela #7
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you’re feeling better Christne, thats a good read all by itself! Wow, fancy a tiger being in a relatively normal domestic shelter, no wonder you remembered! Love the way youve organised your stamp collection, makes real sense to me. Chickens voices will live on your head for ages yet, you only think its quiet….!
ReplyDeleteGlad the chickens have settled in well to their new home. Nice find in the brac a brac too Christine. Look forward to seeing your autumn themed ATCs. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are feeling better and your chickens have settled in nicely. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#16)
ReplyDeleteHi Christine. Good to hear you're back in fighting spirit and sounds like you've jumped in with both feet! Sad to see the chickies go, I'm sure. I also catalog my stamps. I have a tub of new ones to do. I told Bob that's my first task when I get back from conference. Creative Blessings! Kelly #22
