I joined, what I am sure were, the masses and spent Boxing Day onwards under the duvet, suffering a very bad cold - I tested negative so . . . . . 

I am up and about now, catching up on that which was left behind (cue for a book!), arriving late for everything.

I managed to send out a few cards so if I missed you, please forgive me . . . . knowing how I felt I am certain you wouldn't have wanted a card from me, germs and all that!!!

Anyhooos . . . . onward and upward . . . . the tough get going . . . . . you know them all . . . . .

The desk

I have just received my latest edition of Creative Stamping (top right) and if there is one thing that inspires me it it this magazine . . . . . the Year of the Tiger is coming up.

I am now trying to catch up, mercy me there was a lot of action going on in the world while I slept under the covers . . . . . the postman delivered lots of cards, TV progs were recorded, emails were sent - and received!!!

Thank you for all your cards, I love to see all the work that has gone into the creations.

The sun has got his hat on!!!

The desk . . . .

I'm late to the party here . . . . I don't do batch die cuts but this year it is all change round here.

After I had finished all the cutting and sorted out the sentiments, I remembered Shaz telling us about storing her diecuts, even bringing some to a Crop, so I spent a lovely couple of hours in her company.  Thank you Shaz, you will never be forgotten.

Also on my desk, which you can probably just make out on the left side, are some lights and a tree.  They have had a glue session . . . . 

This tree belonged to my Mother, who, no matter how many times I told her to throw the tatty thing out, always brought out this little tree at Christmas time.  Now I don't know what memories it held for her but it always makes me smile thinking of how she loved it . . . . . .

Christmas always seems a time for remembering doesn't it?

Happy memories for me cos Christmas is special.

I have my tree decorated and lit but my village has yet to appear . . . . I think next year I will start Christmas preps at the end of October . . . .

Another short post.  It's cold and wet and I'm miserable so I just want to go virtual visiting . . . 

The Desk. . .

The cards are nearly complete and I hope to be able to write them ready to post out next week . . ..  something of a tradition is posting the Christmas Cards on my birthday . . . . Peter could never do that as his birthday was in July!!  lol  😂

I have invested in a new paper cutter this week although it has really been to use for scoring.  I have several scoreboards but oh!  I can never score properly.

I thought this screen wallpaper very appropriate at the moment as we are now into our third day of rain. . . . .

PS  don't you just love the font size?  on my writing screen it is the largest and really BIG .  Must shrink with the publishing!!!

These bad babies are going to be diecut and USED!  I know that I say this every year but this year the left overs are not going back in the pot . . . . . definitely!! 

Some of these are so old  . . . .  on the back of one is a message from an auntie about moving into a new flat in 2013!!!!!!

So today is going to be very busy and hopefully the rest of the week will be taken up with sticking, writing and posting . . . .
