WOYWW #656

I joined, what I am sure were, the masses and spent Boxing Day onwards under the duvet, suffering a very bad cold - I tested negative so . . . . .
I am up and about now, catching up on that which was left behind (cue for a book!), arriving late for everything.
I managed to send out a few cards so if I missed you, please forgive me . . . . knowing how I felt I am certain you wouldn't have wanted a card from me, germs and all that!!!

Anyhooos . . . . onward and upward . . . . the tough get going . . . . . you know them all . . . . .
The desk

I have just received my latest edition of Creative Stamping (top right) and if there is one thing that inspires me it it this magazine . . . . . the Year of the Tiger is coming up.

I am now trying to catch up, mercy me there was a lot of action going on in the world while I slept under the covers . . . . . the postman delivered lots of cards, TV progs were recorded, emails were sent - and received!!!

Thank you for all your cards, I love to see all the work that has gone into the creations.

Short but sweet and a close up of my screen . . . . .

Happy New Year everyone and I hope, and pray, that it is a much calmer, germ free one for all of us.

  4. Oh wow, I LOVE that Tigger saying, absolutely brilliant - I always said to my boys throughout various tough times that it’s not the victories that make you who you are, it’s how resilient you can be in dealing with the rubbish. I’m sorry you’ve been so poorly, that nasty cold is definitely doing the rounds. I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better now.
Wishing you a happy and healthy 2022, we deserve it!

  5. Hi Christine, pleased you're feeling better sounds like you've been hibernating which might be a good idea right now. The new magazine looks good and look forward to seeing what you make with the stamps. You mentioned in your comment to me that Journaling is like Scrapbooking. I see Scrapbooks as a presentation of photographs and memories with very personal things whereas Art journaling is Artistic thoughts and moments of inspiration but it's just a name and I'm sure people have their own thoughts about it. Wishing you a lovely creative woyww, Angela x9x

  6. Oh I came looking for that Train set !!! good for you, we sometimes need to fullfill our own dreams. I have an unopened LEGO train set with motor sitting downstairs, was to be a gift for one of the grands and then I heard they don't really enjoy them. Maybe I'll gift it to my hubby and we'll use it under next years Christmas tree ! Hope you are feeling much better and will enjoy welcoming in the NEW YEAR. Sunshine/Laughter and maybe even a Lolipop might help. Cheers to better years.

  7. Oh you poor thing, I bet you were worried for a while that COVID had come back for a second bite, so v pleased to know your tests were negative. Glad that you’ve at least bounced out of bed, if not back to 100% yet…do allow yourself recovery time. I haven’t opened a craft magazine for so long, your words about inspiration really struck me, and I’m nothing if not a follower, so nowthis mag is on my list, thank you! Big fat love to you for a better and happy New Year. Xx

  9. Hope you're feeling much better now, Christine. I might have to get that magazine for the Japanese inspired stamps - my son's mad about Japan for some reason - wants to move there LOL! I used to have a subscription but I stopped it, thinking I'll just pick up the mags that have good stamps. Wishing you a very happy 2022! xx zsuzsa #21
