WOYWW #717

I will never get used to there being so few days in February!  Here it is . . . there it is . . . GONE!!!

No extra days to do housework so I am straight in!!  Happy St David's day to you all.  I know that Peter's birth family are celebrating today so my thoughts are with them all.

The desk . . .

Paperwork but not much crafting . . . although one might think it is ready to take over . . . .!

I am sorting out the swaps 'done' and 'to do' lists . . .  Then I have some paperwork to deal with . . . creeping in left and some basic stash . . . .  creeping in right. . .

I have bought a small die cutting machine, my last one broke back in 2018 - Peter tried to fix it but it was beyond repair - so when I found Craftstash offering this model at a silly price . . . well . . . . it's pink so an added bonus!!!

I included some basic crafting materials like magnetic sheets, stamp mounting foam etc.  There was also the glue pen . . .

Haven't had time to look at it properly to see how to make it work, but I did go online to see what to do . . .  no instructions anywhere so I presume I must cut a bit here . . . and pull a tab out there . . . .

All good fun . . . if I get too stuck up I'll give you a shout!!  lol

The screen this week is making me smile (although there is an element of truth in it) through the nasty weather we're having round here . . .

BTW:  Deets on my Japan Crafts purchases can be found here

  1. I spent a whole day and a half doing paperwork for our craft club and still am sorting folks out with bits and bobs. Good luck with yours.
That's a dinky little machine you have there, it looks a bit like one somebody brought to the club, if so it is quite straight forward to use and you should be ok. Good luck anyhow but shout if you need help.

  2. Oh your screen, made me actually LOL - so me the past few weeks, so lethargic, devoid of energy, not even been dancing the past two weeks but having missed badminton last week I said I'd be there this week....

Assuming you mean my Bible when you asked about what I put under a page when colouring... My Bible is a journaling bible but I don't think the pages are much thicker than an ordinary one to be honest. I slip a piece of paper under the page whilst I do them and sandwich between sheets whilst the page dries. I pop my cuttlebug on top to help flatten the page after the watercolouring but they mostly remain crinkly. Some of my new watercolours bleed through the pages, some don't, I don't really mind, can still read the script so it's OK. Hugs BJ#8

  3. Yay for buying a new bit of kit - how great that it came with all that stuff as well, hope you have a lot of fun working out how it all goes! Good luck with all that paperwork, I do so admire folks who take that on, it’s not a skill of mine at all…. Re your question about the quilts, the pattern comes solely from the random strips sewn onto the squares, I put four together so they make a rough diamond shape but that’s it, there’s no thought or planning whatsoever, my sort of crafting, lol!!!

  4. Definitely truth in that last image - for me anyway, but I’d rather not be a pigeon, I think I will be a sparrow 🤣🤣. Happy WOYWW. Angela #13

  11. Hi Christine. Sounds as if you were long overdue for a new toy... I've not heard of that brand so look forward to seeing how you it works out. Sadly, paperwork is a necessity. Off to do the yearly taxes today. Creative Blessings! ~Kelly #16

  13. Oooh. How does that little guy work? I have the Sizzix tiny one that is really too small, and the big Big Shot, but I really would love something more in the Cuttlebug size... Sorry to be so late but the week got away from me for sure. Your pigeon is how I feel most days. See you tomorrow!
Happy late WOYWW, on the week that got away from me!
