WOYWW #737

There are people in this world who would love our temperatures and rain . . . . . just saying . . .

WOYWW - This is the day deskers around the world meet up for a chat and show What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  We help, inspire, sympathise and laugh out loud . . become very good friends.  The deets are at the top of the page . . . . all thanks to our lovely Head Desker Julia . .

The desk is a work in progress at the moment.

I have folded some cardstock ready to produce some masculine designed cards.  The paper I intend to use are leftovers from paperpads bought in a past era.  Never used so this is their chance . . . . if they don't get used this week then they are binned!

To the left are some ATC style papers, I have been flower pounding . . . . but couldn't find a hammer!!!  I brought my box of tools to this house (in a past era!) and I don't know how many times I have had to replace some of these tools.  I put them back when I've used them but PJ just put them down . . .

So I have no lightweight hammer!!  I've used a mallet but it don't work so good   lol

I shall have to give in and buy a new hammer given that I have a shedload of tools in the garage . . . .!

So that's my desk and here's the screen . .

Ain't that the truth!

PS

I collect my screen wallpaper while perusing Pinterest in the early hours when I can't sleep, for those who were interested in where they came from.

  1. We're all about the scraps this week Christine, I think your approach to using those papers is a good one indeed. Before I read that, I was smiling at the folding of cardstock ready to make male cards...my first thought was 'if only that's all it took to get the inspiration'!! Using, putting down and walking away weren't just the habits of PJ believe me. Particularly, tape measures that belong in the workshop, and I'm no longer surprised when I find anything in a totally weird location anymore, I've learned that it's just the last place he noticed it in his hand so put it down. I've even stopped being cross, it's just one of those things!!

  2. Love your screen today Christine, so true!
Wish I was more like you, if I couldn't use those papers in a given time they would end up going back - I like your way better than mine. Must try to adopt it.
Good luck with the flower pounding - nope, my tools are MY tools in this house.

  4. Those papers are incredible. I think that vintage style doesn't go out of style. Your flower pounding ATCs are beautiful. Well done, even without a hammer.

You asked if i was keeping my ICADs in a book. No, I keep them in boxes that I made to the specifications of a recipe box. Thanks for asking. Happy WOYWW from # 1.

  11. Scraps, scraps and more scraps! I have a nifty little hammer I got at Tiger many years ago. It has a flowery head and I am embarrassed to say it took me AGES before I realized you could unscrew the handle and inside are two flathead screwdrivers (2 sizes) and a Phillips head! Such a useful tool that cost me all of £3 - I would buy another if I saw it, for downstairs. Looking forward t the masculine cards - they can be a bit tricky, right? Tools and cars and...??
Happily a bit better for WOYWW!

  12. Oh my I love those papers, would you redirect any proposed bin items to me perchance? Yes the hair really cheers me up and other people I have found too. Spraying pink on my face was the cherry on the top! Do you mean you have enrolled to Fodder School (as in paid for) I only signed up for the free challenge. If the former the challenge workshops will be available to you indefinitely else they end on 3rd August (for me). Hugs BJ#15
