July . . .

and Christmas is everywhere in the craft shows . . . .

I know we need to make in advance but  . . .  EVERY  day!!

The Desk

yep!

It's Butterfly Month!

I may not be having any in the garden (although the Lavender and Buddleias are in full bloom), I am surrounded by them in my craft room.

I have made all my ATC and Coin swaps for the month . . .

Colour - Blue and Orange

Coin 1 - Butterflies

Coin 2 - Trees

and a couple of cards will also be going into the post soon . . . . .

This last one was sold to me as an X box . . . . . then DGSD informs me it's a Switch!!!  Well, I'm an oldie and don't play the game . . . for my card . . .it is X for XBox!!!

The screens this month are all about butterflies as well . .
Have a good week

  1. What a beautiful flutter of butterflies on your post thsi week, love all the colours and projects you’ve been doing! It’s odd because I haven’t seen that many butterflies around either and our garden is chock full of other insects and pollinators. Love the screen saver too, you really find some good ones.

  2. All of your butterflies are looking quite fabulous. And the Xbox/Switch card is wonderful. I would be clueless as well. You will laugh when you see my post today - don't worry not really about Christmas.... promise!
    Happy miserably wet WOYWW!

  3. Wow you have been busy and what a wonderful selection you're sharing with us this week. I love butterflies.
As you asked, I told the factory manager several months ago that I would be stopping doing the factory trousers in October but as yet he hasn't found anyone else to do them so watch this space as they say.

  4. I have heard of an X Box but never heard of a Switch (unless it's how I turn on lights etc). Guess there is so much I don't know the slightest thing about.
Love the butterflies, you certainly have had a butterfly moment, or two. Now I come to think of it I haven't seen many butterflies at home but did see quite a few when up at the caravan the other week. Once, a few years ago, my son and I were on holiday (caravan) in Angelsey and we went for a walk somewhere. The floor was carpeted with butterflies and they were flying in front of us - all colours. Never seen anything like it before or since.
You asked about my BIL's - the one in Oz is waiting for another op, sadly things didn't go quite to plan. The other one passed away 12 days ago. Just fell getting out of his chair and they got the paramedics to get him up and he was talking fine, then as they lifted him he just went. Fine for him but what a shock for everyone else.
Hope you are ok Christine, take care and enjoy the sunny days
    Hugs, Neet 3 xx

  5. I absolutely adore each and every one of your incredible butterflies. Love the ATCs, the coins, and the beautiful cards. Sorry. I am not an X box person, but I sure like those controllers. I am envious that your lavender grows outside. Mine has to grow in pots so I can bring them in over winter. Happy WOYWW from # 2.

  6. Glad the butterflies are still featuring Christine. Yep making samples for Christmas in the hottest week of the year so far was not really inspiring I must admit lol. Love the games controller card. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #5

  8. Hi Christine, thank you for your earlier visit. I suddenly realised I had birthday cards to send for tomorrow and Friday (2) so I have been doing those. They got posted but doubt they’ll get there in time! So I am v late visiting. Yes the big flowers are a Lisa Horton embossing folder. Not entirely sure what technique I was trying out but hey ho didn’t turn out too bad! Have a great week, love n hugs, Cindyxx #15

  9. Hi Christine your butterflies are gorgeous. I'm with you on the Christmas thing, it's just too much at the moment. Just got back from sorting mum's, one more day and we should be done hopefully. I read your question about the house clearance. It's a nightmare job and yes it has made me think that we should clear out the stuff we know we wont use. We started when we lost my dad to Covid so at least some of the wardrobes were already empty that was 2021 but the big job (hope this doesn't bore you Lol!) started when they confirmed that she would not be going home, early June. As Des has been working away off and on we could only visit once a week but if I add the days up I think you could do it in two weeks providing you know a nice charity shop, a skip company and a tip that will take the furniture that the charities can't. Oh and the council took the beds and the cooker (the charities have too many cookers at the moment so couldn't take it). Some of her clothing went in the bags that charities put through the letter box. I did keep a few things and some went to family members. You really have to be tough and just get on with it but my hubby helped a lot as this was the house my parents had lived in for 70 years and I was brought up there. The house was newly built when they moved in. Hope that doesn't scare you too much. You can get a house clearance company to do it all if it's easier but for me it didn't feel right. I must say the charity shop was very grateful for everything and had already sold some of the stuff before we took it all and hubby said that people were going through the boxes before the ladies had chance to price them which makes me feel happy that people appreciate these things. I'm off now for a rest. Happy belated woyww. Hugs Angela x9x

  11. Loving all the butterflies and I certainly can't be doing Christmas in the Summer! Love the coins both butterflies and trees. I used to listen to Premier a lot then went on to UCB (United Christian Broadcast) although now I tend to just listen to spotify where I have a plethora of Christian songs uploaded. In fact just back from our Prayer & Worship evening and we had lovely worship there, sigh. Hugs BJ#10

  12. Thanks for the visit, we were out and about earlier then entertainment in the park. The guy who sang at our wedding was the vocalist of the evening. He does a lot of 60's Elvis etc We don't have the outside Butterflies like we have had in the past, You have a great grouping of them. I love ATC and the Coins, made so many years back, then got with this group of Collage and started the 3x3 monthly themes. Keeps me sane !!! Have a great week.

  13. As a person that used to work in the craft industry, and had a shop, I participated in the Christmas in July thing, but always reluctantly. This year, I've let it pass me by completely, am trying to live in the moment and if that means my cards will be a bit rushed, so be it! I absolutely love your orange and blue themed ATCs. I don't do many butterfly things myself, but this host of fluttery loveliness on your page is very cheering and beautiful !
