WOYWW #746

Welcome to another What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday!  I hope it will be happy for you . . . . I have lots to do as usual . . . .

The Desk . . .

I'm copying . . . well, I don't think it's called copying . . . . more CASE . . .

Catching up on my emails the other morning I saw a stunning card here Texture Florals

Whoa!  That is beautiful!

Just what I need for my October Colour card of Grey.  I had already decided to make a grey card with pink embellishments (2nd best fave colours), so as you can see it is almost finished . . . . just watching glue dry   lol

I have had a very busy weekend and have not really recovered completely, socialising seems to take it out of me these days . . . . so I am working at my desk . . . . . sitting down is good  . . . .

The screen says it all . . . .

. . . .  and I can see through my window that there are lots of umbrellas today .

  1. Definitely concur, if you're feeling tired, that sitting at the desk is good medicine in more ways that one. Yes love the pinks and greys, lovely colour combo. Hugs BJ#12

And I don’t think there’s anything wrong in taking inspiration from other folks’ ideas, I do it all the time! Hope you’re feeling better after the busy weekend and I’m glad the bag arrived ok xx

  11. I have taken inspiration from others for all of my pieces, in fact they are more or less direct copies. I will, of course, give credit to the original artist. I don't think people bother if you credit them. It is a lovely card and I love pink and grey together. Often wear those colours.
Take care and sit when you need to. Some of us can't stand too long. That's why crafting is so good for us.

  12. That’s a lovely card to CASE. Socialising does take it out you, I think it’s all the concentrating on the conversation. Happy WOYWW. Angela #10

  15. Happy Belated WOYWW. Copying/inspiration is 99% of my creativity! I love pink and grey too, as well as turquoise and grey, or jade and grey .... In fact, I love a lot of grey combos! I often have a sit down, especially after socialising and travelling. Quiet time is essential. Ali x #13

  17. Charming post, Christine! Your umbrella comment inspired an audible laugh! And yes, I hear you on the socializing. I find it - in most cases - to be exhausting these days, so I do as little of it as possible. And that's a reason I'm grateful for these creative communities.

And, it's so nice to meet you too!
