Driving East and settling in

After packing the chickens off to their hotel in Lapworth, we loaded the car and set off for a visit to the East Coast - to me (who has no geographical brain) the roundy bit!.
We travelled along the M6 for about 45mins before the traffic came to a rolling stop.  The police cars were about four cars in front of us so we considered ourselves quite fortunate because once the traffic started we would be away ......  After forty five minutes being static, in the midday sun, we were off again and arrived at our camp site in good time.
Sea View

It's a walk to the sea but there is a long sea frontage of sanded grass and scrub, and it's just soooo quiet!

The place was a static caravan, large and well furnished.

The only downside really was not much room between beds and walls! The bedding itself was soft and cosy and wrapped itself round a tired-from-travelling body........

We tried out the restaurant and had our first dish of .......Dirty Chips!!!

Garlic Mushrooms to the left and Chilli to the right.  Already attacked but mmmmmm!
Portion size was just right for us.

So we're here and tomorrow we explore!
