AUGUST!!!!!!!!
Can you believe it?!!  I had soooo much planned for July but have only completed about half of it......  let's sprint into August then ....

The desk
Not much going on here.... a few more ATCs for this month's swap.

I did buy a couple of these
which meant that I could empty some boxes and make a bit more space in the the old place .... at one point it looked like I would be spending the night in here as there were boxes every where!  I now have all my card and envelopes in one trolley and my ribbons in another

Then there was this
A large space cleared on the patio so that we could make a new roof for the chicken ranch.  Chickens weren't impressed with all the banging, cutting and sliding onto their place but at least it the roof was in place in time for all the rain!

We had the boys come round yesterday, hence the late post, which meant shopping and soft play and creating.  DGSD and I visited a new play area and also supermarket for a few supplies and then came home to make a cake.
A watermelon cake....
I had visions of

.......... would have been happy with this

.... ended up with this .... not bad eh?!

..... might try to make these next time!!!

All good fun and just about edible!!

Have a good week and lots of fun.

  2. Glad I popped back to double check Christine or I would have missed you. Your new trolleys look useful and if you've cleared some boxes in the process even better. Bet the chickens were glad of their new roof with all this rain too lol. Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah #9

  5. I think the cake looks scrummy! The trolley looks great too, not seen those before and the baskets look quite deep, the one I have is not so good and will have to look out for these. you must let us know where you got them from. Hope the chickens are happy now. Happy belated woyww, Angela x13x

  6. I think reorganizing art materials is a great way to reboot one's creative juices. I'd love to have chickens, because fresh eggs are so much better, but our current lifestyle doesn't allow for it. That watermelon cake looks scrumptious, so I'm sure your boys loved it. I'd love to see what you do with the quote you found in my blog, so I hope you post it on your blog. Thanks for your visit to my blog and blessings!

  7. Oooh, Christine, watermelon cake! I've never heard of that before but it looks just the thing for a hot summer's day! I adore watermelon. Your new trolleys look awesome! Great storage. We have a neighbour who keeps chickens and occasionally we get given a box of eggs. Lovely to have home-grown ones rather than supermarket! Thank you for your visit. I must press on with my teabag project because everyone's clamouring to see the result and I don't want this to turn into yet another UFO - the house is full of my UnFinished Objects lol! I think I rather overdid it with the cooking this week and got very overtired but at least I've got a lot of meal prep done now. We had an awesome curry tonight!

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  9. Hi Chris thanks for the fab comment. Sorry I'm late returning the favour- where does the time go??? I cannot believe how I used to teach full time, visit mum down south, son up north and so on. Maybe it's just that it takes me so much longer to do anything ;-) Will look out for your email. Anne x 12
