Started a new idea for cards, saw this digital on Elizabeth Dulemba's site, and the idea was born....
I sorted out all my small cards (most of them haven't seen daylight for years!), and hope to complete them sometime this week.
Thank you for all your good wishes in the comments last week, as most of you know viruses have a habit of returning at a later date, so I was resting an awful lot of the time. Stairs are not good for me at the mo so I tend to stay on one floor, not necessarily the one with the laptop!!! I hope to do better at visiting this week.
I must say that I am grateful for the NHS Leaflet coming through everyone's door .... I think the folks over the road have finally got the message, no daughter and grandchildren visited yesterday. When I see them arriving I find it very upsetting, not having seen mine since beginning of March, but I was spared the pain yesterday!!! Shout out to the Government.
I hope to catch up on all my Blog posts, you know...... the ones I didn't do!!.... over the coming days so watch this
I hope that everyone gets the message soon Christine or this is going to last a lot longer than it needs to. It took a two and a half month lockdown in Wuhan and that was with everyone obeying the rules. I think it will need longer here because of the idiots. Look forward to seeing what you do with those cards. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #5
ReplyDeleteYou're right, a big shout out to the Government - it really annoys me that people are criticising because who knows what is the perfect response to the situation? I'm glad you're getting there and I think you're being sensible taking your time as stamina takes a bit of a battering.
ReplyDeleteKeep safe and well,

Hi Christine, I agree there still seem to be a lot of stupid/selfish people about. It will be good if they've finally got the message. This virus has shown us both the best, and the worst in people! Have a lovely week, Stay safe, Hugs, Shaz #10 X
ReplyDeleteHi Christine. So glad you are beginning to feel a bit better - but, yes, do keep resting It is going to take time to build up your stamina again. Yes, the government are doing the best they can in an unimagineable situation and need all the support they can get from the likes of us ordinary mortals!! Got my letter and leaflet today from the government and the NHS. They are doing brilliantly. We need to keep them in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourselves. Stay safe. God bless you this Eastertime.

I agree so much with you Christine there are some that are really not taking this seriously, only last week whilst stood in the queue to get shopping for my Mother did I have to listen to the conversation from one lady about how not even the Government could keep her elderly Mother in. Makes me very sad when the majority of us are trying our best. You take good care of yourself and PJ there will be many happy family moments awaiting you when this all comes to an end.. Happy WoywW & Easter blessings Tracey #24
ReplyDeleteI am sure it's going to take time to get your energy back, Christine, and you are being very sensible, pacing yourself as you are. It looks as if you've got some nice projects to work on at your desk. I quite agree with you about how selfish some people are being, and how stupid. There's an attitude that says, "Rules don't apply to me" which is so irresponsible under the circumstances. I have heard that the Muslims are ignoring the rules regarding numbers attending funerals - I've seen pictures of large gatherings, and everyone in close proximity, and they are all depending on allah to keep them safe!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit. I'm so glad you enjoyed seeing our little garden. I think it's nice to share some pictures like that when people can't get out and see different places. I'm sorry you have been competing with the chickens over your garden! I'm sure you'll get it back up to its former glory given time!
Stay safe and recover well! Happy WOYWW,

You probably need months of careful rehab really Christine, a big virus knocks you for six, so you persist in one floor living and little and often on the resting, for sure. I had to enlarge to see the image, all I could see was the hula hoop and couldn’t understand why you would need a digi for a ‘swipe’ of colour! I must say that I think the social distancing and stay at home is finally having an impact here, people are actually making an effort. Mind you, there’s always going to be exceptions isn’t there, my husband has a saying for it, but I can’t repeat it.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are getting plenty of rest, you take care now! I agree about how selfish some people are - do they think they have some magic immunity?? glad the neighbours seem to have got the message. Helen #1
ReplyDeleteWow Chris, I didn't see your post last week so have just had a catch up - you poor thing, you have been really ill. Just hope that if it was the covid 19 I hope it is true that it cannot return. Glad you are feeling much better now. I can remember once having proper flu and I lost days, seriously. Found out my mum had moved in for a couple of days to help out. It was awful. Must admit I am scared of this virus at my age now.
ReplyDeleteJust you take it easy now, rest when you can and sleep when your body tells you to. Don't worry about seeing your little soldier, it will be all the nicer when you do see him and he has grown. Certainly don't let the behaviour of others bother you - I get so angry when I read about people ignoring the rules, hope they waken up pretty soon.
Take care, stay safe and well and on one floor
Hugs, Neet 2 xx
Hi Christine, hope you're feeling better soon. Sadly we still have to visit my parents which worries me all the time. The so called deliveries that the government said would be arranged for the elderly and disabled never happened and as they are house bound we are the only people that can supply them with their everyday needs but we do have masks and gloves and only stay long enough to deliver their shopping. We did arrange Wiltshire Farm to deliver and for three years that was fine but last week they left them with only half the order. They have carers visiting every day but they wont do any shopping and to be honest they are too busy anyway. It is not the ideal situation but we really don't have any other choice and I'm sure there are lots more just like us. Take care and wishing you a happy belated woyww, Angela x15x
ReplyDeleteIt takes ages to get over a virus like this one so take your time and don't over do it. I really hope that everyone gets the message soon or this will go on a lot longer. Take care and stay safe my friend. Happy Belated WOYWW. With love & God Bless, Caro x (#20)
ReplyDeleteGlad you are starting to feel a little better, one small step at a time.
ReplyDeleteGlad neighbours are finally getting the message too!
