here's mine . . . .
. . . as you can see not a lot going on . . . you missed it!
I have been working outside on my other 'desk' . . .
I spent nearly the whole day out there and am taking it easy today . . .
this is how we started, soil added to the left, one extra large fuchsia dug out (cuttings taken) . . .
One part of the root
. . . . because we have two robins nesting in the garage and they will need to inspect this place . . . See!!!
as soon as we start to move any soil . . . . there they are . . .
Here's the first one, I'm taking a break for a cup of coffee . . .
Here's the other one, and . . . no! I don't know which is which.
They are taking it in turns to feed the young'un, second hatching so far.
They didn't update their nest from last year, they have a nice new home in a watering can instead!!
So me, the robins and PJ carried on working through out the day . . . PJ was rotovating and finishing the chicken run - it doesn't really look any different, except that the fruit bushes have good soil round their roots now!
My Blue' garden has the rest and is ready for planting . . .
I found several broken ornaments so there will be much mending and painting (been watching the 'The Repair Shop'!). Don't worry, I will keep you updated!
Off to visit other desks, have a good week and stay safe and well.
Love your other desk Christine. We have baby blackbirds in our garden, not that there is much gardening taking place lol. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #11
ReplyDeleteRobins and blackbirds, they're very clever at darting in to inspect the upturned soil! I nearly got one once back in Wiltshire when I was going to put my spade in the ground and only just missed the blackbird who'd darted in. Love your blue garden, those pots are lovely and well done on the repairs too, I love the Make Do and Mend attitude!

Hi Christine. A great post! Love the thought of the robins just hanging in there until you turn your back - they're good at that! Great work out there on that desk - well done the pair of you! Phew!!
ReplyDeleteTake care. Stay safe. God bless.

What a clean and nice desk you have ;) - I believe I like the other desk much more by now (isolation is not too fun) I look forward to see what will be growing and mending.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing!

Aah always love those outside workspaces - they change from week to week without any help from us! We have baby sparrows and they have been delightful to watch and yes those robins are so cheeky when you are working in the soil they are in there like a shot. Stay well, stay safe, Happy WOYWW Cindy #24
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, my you have been busy! Lovely when you get robins helping with the gardening! Bet they've appreciated all the worms and bugs you disturbed. Have a lovely week, Stay safe, Hugs, Shaz#10 X

ReplyDeleteLove the robins there is something about them when they help you in the garden. Looks as if one has something in its beak. Your desk is very tidy. Ani #12
ReplyDeletewell haven't you been busy! hope you're not aching too much. I have been sat still too much today and need to go have a stretch!! take care. stay safe. Helen #1
ReplyDeleteOooh a garden desk this week, Christine! It looks as if you've been hard at it. Thank you for visiting and I'm glad you like my teddies project. As for the washing, after I'd posted that photo, I realised that right in the middle at the front is my huge pair of hernia support pants! I had to laugh - spread all over the Internet in all their glory lol!! Good thing I'm not embarrassed about such things, isn't it. We sampled the first harvest of sprouted seeds as a garnish on our salad at lunch time today and they tasted delicious - really fresh and crunchy, and pretty too.

Nice clean desk. Sometimes it's good to turn your back on it and get outside for a while. Wishing you a lovely crafty woyww. Stay safe, Angela x16x
ReplyDeleteLovely on both counts Christine, and I love the Blue garden idea very much. How tidy your desk is, for an awful minute I thought you were packing up to move!! You must feel a real sense of accomplishment over the garden, I thought I’d done a lot in mine but it now appears not!!
ReplyDeleteLoving your outdoor 'desk' this week. Happy belated WOYWW. Take care and stay safe, with love & God Bless, Caro xxx(#6)
ReplyDeleteNeither of us are gardeners, but my back stops me doing weeding these days. Love my bluetits though, and last year happened to be looking out of the kitchen window (on the front??) and saw lots of baby ones learning to fly from a bush - so entertaining. Love them - especially my blackbird visitors although I don't see their young. Lucky you - a great desk today.

Love your blue garden, what a great idea. Hubby is the gardener and he always comes in and tells me about the robin that won't move away, but won't come to close either. We love our birds visits. Good that you have enjoying the good weather.
