WOYWW #573

WOYWW - All the deets on how to link up etc. and, more importantly, why you should, can be found at the top of the page.  Thank you Julia for hosting another week of fun and mayhem.

It would appear that we are slowly returning to 'normal' after all the celebrations last week and now some of us will be allowed out.  I presume that we will, the shops will be open . . . .
The Desk
I am about to make up the card kit, another charity kit designed by Christine from Hope & Chances.
To the left is a new blue external, bought for me by PJ, so now I should be able to discard my very old small one.
Also that side is the leaflet for Parc Zoologique de Paris, I keep looking at it and hoping . . .  There is also a plastic container with some bits and bobs that have been found whilst looking for something else!!!
The bobbin with the flowered lace is out, I want to decorate my new hat but have had to order some more  . . . . there's a long wait . . .
In other news . . . .

One little sad boy, just returned from hospital with support on his arm. . . he fell from the climbing frame . . . . ouch!

Social distancing forgotten . . . .sorry!

  1. I do hope that all is well with the arm again soon, poor little man. Social distancing really can't take precedence in these circumstances Christine. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #7

  2. Oooh, I definitely want ot see your new hat when you've finished decorating it! I so wish I could wear hats but I have a huge head (!!) and they just perch on top looking stupid. Ah well. Sorry to see your GS in the wars, we were at the hospital so often when our boys were small, I swear we could have been invited to the staff Christmas dinner.... Hope you're feeling better now lovely gal.

  3. What a sad little face, hopefully he will recover quickly (the boon of youth). I did have a giggle reading the message on your laptop. Stay safe as you venture out.

  5. I cannot wait to see this hat? Is it for something special - is there a wedding in the offing? Gosh I am nosey, sorry.
Sorry also that little soldier had a nasty fall and who can blame you for releasing a hug. It was a necessity.

  6. Hi Christine. Ouch! poor little man. Trust he soon feels more like himself. Hugs are most definitely essential at moments like these. Have to get a photo of that hat - you won't forget now, will you!
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

  9. Oh poor thing - hope he's soon mended. How exciting have a hat to decorate, I love hats but I look dreadful in them and envy anyone who can wear them.
Hope you have a good week,

  11. Your poor little grandson - his little face looks so forlorn and sad and he looks in serious need of a cuddle, doesn't he! Love the funny on your computer screen! The hat sounds fun, and I hope we get to see it in due course. Thank you for visiting - and for your good wishes for our anniversary. I'm so glad you liked my wedding outfits - all designed and made by Yours Truly. Also for your kind words about my knitting! I'm a colour junkie and love Kaffe Fasset's motto, "When in doubt, add 40 more colours"!! I'm really glad I made the decision to redo the ribbing and I've done the back, and just started the front. It looks sooo much better than before. Always worth going the extra mile to get things right - I look on this as an investment because I want this pattern to be right, so it's reliable to use again in the future with other yarns and designs. Keeping a simple shape showcases the colours, I think.

The kitties say thank you for their birthday wishes - yes, pretty as ever!

    Happy WOYWW,
